1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using QuickBrief ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. The Service is intended for use by businesses and professionals in the United Kingdom.
2. Description of Service
QuickBrief is a sanctions monitoring and intelligence platform designed for compliance professionals, including Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs). The Service provides:
- Real-time monitoring of the UK Sanctions List (UKSL, official FCDO list) and US OFAC SDN (Specially Designated Nationals) list
- AI-powered analysis and summary briefs of sanctions changes
- MLRO review and approval workflows
- Audit trail functionality for regulatory compliance
- Export capabilities for regulatory reporting
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Promptly update your account information as needed
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of your organisation to create an account.
4. Subscription and Payment
4.1 Subscription Plans
QuickBrief offers monthly subscription plans starting at £99/month for the Starter tier. Your subscription begins when you complete the checkout process.
4.2 Subscription Fees
Your subscription will be billed at the current rate (£99/month for Starter). All fees are:
- Quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and exclude VAT where applicable
- Billed monthly in advance
- Non-refundable except where required by law
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:
- Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds will be issued for partial months
- You can export your data before cancellation
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without permission
- Use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
- Share account credentials with unauthorised users
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by QuickBrief and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any data you upload to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data as necessary to provide the Service.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Specifically:
- Not Legal Advice: The Service provides information and tools to assist with compliance. It does not constitute legal advice, and you should consult qualified legal professionals for specific guidance.
- Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that sanctions data or AI-generated briefs are error-free. You remain responsible for verifying information and making compliance decisions.
- Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickBrief and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Regulatory fines or penalties
- Any damages arising from your reliance on the Service
Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuickBrief and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
11. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
12. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
